TAFE Student Information Systems - blackout
TAFE student information systems are being replaced across the state this week.

The
Western Suburbs Haven is a community based organisation which operates from Blacktown
in Western Sydney where we provide respite care and social support for people
living with HIV/AIDS.
We are
currently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to provide financial support to our
service on a permanent, part time basis. As our core business is
providing support to people with HIV, applicants must be non judgemental and
will be bound by strict confidentiality.
The selection criteria for this position is as follows:
Essential Criteria:
*Experience working in a bookkeeping role
*Proficient with using MYOB and MS Office
applications
*Experience in
- Accounts receivable and payable
- Preparing and processing payroll
- Bank and Balance Sheet
Reconciliations
- Calculation and lodgment of quarterly
BAS, monthly superannuation &
monthly
payroll tax and PAYG
*
Strong
organisational and time management skills
* High level of written, oral and
interpersonal communication skills
*Current drivers licence
Desirable Criteria
*knowledge
of relevant Acts & legislation impacting on charities & non-government,
not for profit organisations
*some knowledge about HIV/AIDS
and the impact on those infected and affected
*previous experience working with
volunteers and/or community organisations

Introduction workshops for online subjects for Certificate IV students
3 workshop sessions have been arranged for next week for Certificate IV students
to have an orientation session to the online subjects.
Sessions are as follows:
Monday 11/8/2014 2pm – 5pm B2.08,
this session is primarily intended for Cert IV banking students, but others are
welcome
Wednesday 13/8/2014 2pm – 5pm
B2.08, primarily for Cert IV daytime students
Thursday 14/8/2014 6pm – 8pm
Library (computer bank), primarily for Cert IV evening students
The point of the sessions is not to cover content, but to
ensure that students can access their online subjects. Students are not
expected to stay the full time of the session, just until they are aware of how
to access the units. The sessions are not mandatory.
Please bring your TAFE username and password with you.
It would also be useful if you know which units you need and bring your
individual learning plan with you.
