The Role

You will be the “go-to” person for all day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll and related taxation matters on behalf of the company. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will use your knowledge of Australian payroll, accounting and employee/company focused taxation regulations to ensure clients are provided with high quality services and appropriate advice. 


This is an interesting, multi-layered role that will fully use your bookkeeping, payroll processing and general accounting knowledge whilst providing work / life balance and career prospects in the future.

 
What you need to have:

·         Proven experience in Business Setup & Establishment, Accounting Compliance including preparation for Audit, Company Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements, GST and FBT returns

·         Strong bookkeeping skills ideally with experience in Cloud accounting package setup & administration

·         Excellent level of payroll experience including processing /management of PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workers Compensation Insurance, etc

·         Understanding of Statutory reporting requirements including, budgeting, Financial Board, & Shareholder statements

·         Ideally, have experience using various accounting software packages such as Xero, MYOB, and other ERP etc

·         Microsoft excel, reporting packages

·         A “can-do”, hands-on approach with willingness to learn new systems and processes

Updated semester 2 2018 information

The updated timetables and booklist for semester 2 have now been uploaded to our website at this link: https://wsionline.wsi.tafensw.edu.au/course/view.php?id=2153&section=2 (login as a guest).

If you haven't enrolled already, there are still some places available in most courses.

Compulsory orientation sessions are on tomorrow (5 July 2018) starting in room C1.02 (new location) at Blacktown College. Sessions start promptly at 12:30pm and 6:00pm, please attend one of these sessions.

Alpha Books Notice

 

 

Next Friday 2nd of March is Alpha Books last day of trading as a popup bookshop for semester 1.

 

A notice  has been placed on the door of the popup bookshop requesting students purchase their books or place their order before the 2nd of March.

 

Any orders after this date, will incur a delivery fee of $5.00 to Blacktown TAFE or $13.95 to a postal address.
