Position Available - Office Assistance

A growing construction company based in Riverstone is looking for a candidate to fulfil an Office Assistance role and has provided the following information.

 

ABOUT THE POSITION

This candidate will be the first point of contact, meeting and greeting clients and handling all inbound and outbound telephone calls. Distributing calls where appropriate. Maintain office filing and storage systems and update and maintain database. The candidate will also be responsible for Accounts Receivable by preparing and submitting of invoices, payment claims, subcontractor statement, chase debtors on a daily basis, along with assisting other staff with documentation and a personal assistant for Director such as co-ordinate and organise appointments and meetings.

 

This role is a full time position and for an immediate start. Training will be provided.

 

CANDIDIATE REQUIREMENTS

We prefer someone with experience in this field and MYOB however not essential. The candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, has a strong work ethic and is a team worker. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, is proactive, takes initiative, is a quick learner and has competent computer skills including office or equivalent.

Independent Wholesale Welding Supply is an importer and wholesaler of welding machines and welding parts.

 

Description of position

You will assist with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Daily Banking and allocation of funds into accounts
  • Invoicing and Filing
  • Set up new Vendors
  • Debtors Reconciliation and Debt Collection
  • Process Employees expenses and Petty Cash Reconciliation
  • Ad hoc projects

 

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be available to work full-time 
  • Must be near completion or recent graduate with a major in Accounting
  • MS Office skills
  • Must have driver’s licence
  • Australian citizenship, permanent residency or appropriate visa

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Mature attitude with the ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Experience is not necessary but would be an advantage
  • Applicants must be well presented, have good verbal and communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
